I am very aware of what's involved with being a sniper. And I'm well aware of what Hathcock has accomplished both in the field and out of it.

Just because kyle didn't have to do those things in the war he took part in doesn't mean he couldn't do them. I read his book, I know what Hathcock has done. I still believe kyle was trained to a higher level. Because navy seals are trained to a higher level.

Its legal to kill "looters"?

Interesting.

No which is another reason why Chris Kyle's credibility is called into question.

I think there is something off with someone who would even brag about that kind of a thing. Killing people in war is one thing, plinking off looters during civil unrest is another.

Hathcock hands down.

1: he was old school and those skills trump laser range finders and all the modern shooting crutches.

2: that name.

My personal favorite for slinging absolute iron balls is John Basilone, even Rambo would look at his service record and go Daaayum!!!

He may not be a sniper but any man who can walk fire a water cooled browning using ammo belts wrapped around his fingers to keep his skin from charring is one fething hard core dude.

Its also an absolute lie. They had nat guard units in NO, not super cool low drag operators. Just saying that disqualifies you from having any responsible position after because you are ed in the head.

Hathcock all the way. Hathcock once trapped an entire company in a rice field for days, and his ability to infiltrate and redeploy are legendary.

I have to say, my feelings about the Dakka OT are at least somewhat improved by seeing that Chris Kyle only got 2 votes.

Occasionally, a sunbeam of rationality breaks through the clouds.

Seems kinda morbid but ok.

No one has brought up fast food or tobacco, so no. We're not arguing over who is the best killer of people.

We're talking about the best killer TODAY, not when you were in college.
