Ya this thread is weird with the very angry reaponders. Good luck with your list Saturn, try it out, I'd suggest not altering it for a few games. You'll likely get beat since you're new, but don't let that discourage you. Learning the basics is important, which will help with future lists.

Exactly! v10mega i believe is right. Saturn999 is too stubborn to listen and is a lost cause. Its that attitude every newbie has that i just despise. This isnt chess no matter what they say so what your plans are dont ever really work due to dice roll. Pawns can beat a queen and knights can snipe across the board. On top of that bishops make rooks invincible or what ever. what v10omega is saying i believe is to make a list that is flexible and adaptable to any situation. Hence Take all comers. Also, nurgle is very forgiving so you can mame all the mistakes. The current list has psychers and so many min max stuff geared and tuned for expert players which will be difficult for a newbie to play and win. You think you are ready to win tournaments big boi?

However I have taught a kid to play msu plasma plague marines and he does it well. Taking pot shots at side armor with s7 ap2 is great for glancing and a ok chance to explode from 24" away. Its hard to play but very fun as its very dangerous and I doubt you will win much without my tutelage. It also helps accepting the danger of gets hot! He doesnt care and gets excited when it happens and that is the attitude to play csm. High risk but high reward is fun and exciting.

for beginers, i do agree with v10mega, more boys over toys. Just get more marines. 10 in a rhino with 2 meltaguns is great. Gives you 8 extra men to shoot bolters. Dont foot slog. There are so many marine killing weapons.

you are waisting your breath they wont bother because they think we are rude when we are only telling the truth while they try to coat the garbage codex with sugar, i mean i dont understand footslogging marines that try to get close for meltabombs but whatever if i came up as rude then im sorry
