I suggest you buy only individual issues that have something of value to you. For instance, I purchased the ones with the various Knight rules as I didn't care to get the Knight codex.

So this is in the most exalted list.

Near the top, in case you were wundering.

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

You get the subscription because it's cheaper in the long run.

Are you buying a issue every week? Is so then yes and save yourself a few bucks.

Are you only buying every other issue or less when it has content you want? Then it's not worth it....

No they are not worth it.

If you like paint splatter articles look for a online painting tutorial stream. They are just plain better.
If you like to see new models. Go online and look at them

If you like the hobby and the fluff part you should really start buying old white dwarfs instead. You will be amazed at the quality of those old articles.

The only reason to buy a modern day white dwarf is if they have rules in them that you want to have. But You don't want a subscription for that.

I voted no, mainly due to the fact that even though I subscribed I rarely get the magazine delivered on time if at all. I never got issue 92, and I'm still waiting for last weeks WD and Visions to arrive.

I have since cancelled the subscription.

Like others have said, only certain issues have warranted repeat reading: AOS and Calth launch issues, plus the painting issue are the only three I re-read.

I've put my other issues up for sale on ebay to generate a little extra cash and clear some space.

I don't think WD is worth the paper, but if you do, and buy most of them, get a subscription

Does a subscription get you anything you wouldn't get by buying individually?

Just a discount, and potentially the option to buy the LE White Dwarf model for the year.
