Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

Ah, ok, Ten was in there as I just love the B-wing as a ship. What's a good way to get the most from one? A tanky jouster? A cannon carrier? Any particular pilots/upgrades that work well in concert? I'm not looking for 100% optimisation, but if there's any cool tricks or combos then I'm all ears.

Most people tend to run it as a tanky jouster. E2+Tactician is common, as is Fire Control System.

A Blue Squadron Pilot with no upgrades is the most efficient ship the Rebels have. You really can't go wrong with them.

Personally, I'm fond of Blue Squadron Pilot + B-wing/E2 + Tactician. My current Rebel list is this:

Poe Dameron (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
R5-P9 (3)
Autothrusters (2)

Blue Squadron Pilot (22)
Tactician (2)
B-Wing/E2 (1)

Gold Squadron Pilot (18)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
R3-A2 (2)
BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)

Total: 100

If you want to play Ten Numb, give him the Mangler canon and a FCS. That is a good loading and as lean as he can go, IMHO.

I like Jake Farrell more than Celchu, too. With prockets, he gives you a well positioned punch.

@CC You are talking about some upgrades that he doesn't have yet!
@Para Based on what you have, that is a very serviceable list. Get a lot of games in under your belt.
CC's right... for now, run Biggs and Tycho with Push. When you get VI, you'll put it to a lot of use. Same goes for Autothrusters.

He said he was okay with proxying upgrades. My advice was given accordingly.

I'm back with more questions! Though only a couple this time, both really about the same thing.

In my next order I have a TIE Bomber and a YT-1300 coming (along with a Y-wing, Interceptor and Phantom, but they all seem reasonably straight forward), and thus, a couple of new things are going to come up.

On the TIE Bomber, I'm wondering how far is too far when it comes to loading up on weapons? Taking Extra Munitions seems like a no-brainer so long as I'm spending more than 2 points on extra weapons, but there are a whole lot of slots and I'm wondering how many I can fill before it becomes impractical or just too expensive? Playing with the Squadron Builder, Advanced Proton Rockets, a Proton Bomb and Extra Munitions (29 points total on the cheapest pilot) seems like it gets me the most for my investment purely on a the Extra Munitions upgrade (essentially 11 points 'free', but does this make the bomber too much of a target? Or would I be better off taking less expensive weapons and filling another slot or two (say, Seismic Charge, Proton Torps and Advanced Homing Missiles for 27 points total and 6 rather than 4 shots with upgraded weapons)? Or even just taking one slot and Extra Munitions to keep it cheap?

Likewise on the Falcon, it already takes up a whole chunk of points with the named pilots; do I want to be loading up on crew, mods and missiles or keeping it as cheap as possible and getting in more small ships? I'm not yet aware of how much weight an expensive Large ship can carry in a list; it looks tanky as hell, but the firepower seems a little lacklustre for the cost.

As ever, any thoughts appreciated! I have to say I am really enjoying the game thus far, and also really enjoyed repainting the ships (pics in my blog /shameless plug! )

Fat Falcon pilots are usually the norm. But then again, find your own play style. I,m sure a Wild Space Fringer might surprise a lot of players, especailly if you keep it light and load up on aces.

I think it's rare you'll get to unload all your ordnance before you get blown up, unless you fly that bomber very conservatively, or really well.
