I have never put it into practice, but it seems like it might actually work. If there was a way to give Pedro Relentless, he could do the same thing in a Terminator or Terminator Assault Squad. But since S&P affects the whole squad, Pedro benefits. Assault Cents would lay down a ton of Str10 AP2 attacks at initiative. It is a good way to plow through an MC.

I have several different options for what I run with Pedro. Depending on what I feel like doing, I leave room for running any one of them. I have the following units:
Terminator Assault Squad (3 THSS, 2 Twin LC) in a LRR
Terminator Squad (Assault Cannon) in a LRR
Honour Guard ( PS Champ, 4x PM, 2x PA, Banner) in a LRR
Vanguard Veteran Squad ( PM Sarge, 2x PM, 2x PA) in a Drop Pod
I mean to get a squad of Centurions so I can magnetize them as Assault or Dev Cents. They would go in a Drop Pod.
I dislike the Assault Termies since they lack shooting. The Honour Guard lack any sort of Invul, but make up for it with a boat load of attacks. The VV exist so I can run a Gladius with Pedro and not go over on points. They are actually just five of my Honour Guard(I modeled them so they can be used as both). The Tactical Termies probably mesh the best with Pedro as he boosts their combat ability, and shoots well enough.
I've done the Centurion thing with several different HQ's. If they can make Tyberos a lot better, they'll definitely work wonders for Pedro. As for what you have:
1. Only one Terminator needs the LC's, and that's the Sergeant for catching challenges. The Redeemer is also really terrible.
2. Tactical Terminators simply don't bring anything to the party that Pedro benefits from, nor does he benefit them much. The Redeemer is also really terrible.
3. Honour Guard need someone more durable than Pedro to catch AP2 attacks, but otherwise he does pretty decent things with them. The Redeemer is also really terrible.
4. Vanguard benefit from wanting Jump Packs, as otherwise you might as well just buy Honour Guard. The Drop Pod is cool, and the Redeemer is also really terrible.
Most of what I have read is that the best Assault Termie spread is 3/2. I don't model Sergeants any different ( CF don't use special markings for squad leaders), so I could designate a LC squad member as the Sergeant if I wanted and see what works out better. Tactical Termies perform at the same ranges as Pedro and more Power Fist attacks certainly don't hurt. The Sergeant getting an extra attack makes him better to tank challenges. Honour Guard SHOULD be able to take some form of a shield, but alas they cannot. They benefit from being cheap, so more bodies. Pedro is 2+/4++/5+ FNP, so about as durable as a SM without EW can get. Like I said with my VV, they only exist as a different option for running with Pedro when I need to save points (the only time that really happens is when I am running a Gladius Strike Force with the 1st Company Task Force).
I don't think you give the LRR enough credit. It can move 12" and POTMS either its Assault Cannon, Multi-Melta, or Flamestorm Cannon. In a Cover-heavy meta, being able to launch those FSC while moving is actually pretty awesome. I never run squads big enough to warrant the Crusader, and the Schizo-Raider doesn't fit enough bodies.

Not got the codex to hand so might not work, but I think the wording for the objective secure for sternguard and extra attacks is for friendly units in the same detachment. If so this could be pretty nasty in an unbound detachment as he could be used to boost sternguard from other chapters, my personal choice would be forgeworlds Raptors with Lias Issodon creating a pretty nasty elite infantry force, with first turn shrouded and rending sternguard ammo, if infiltrated forwards with pedro they'd probably create a midfield no go zone except for dedicate melee units.

I don't understand that spread whatsoever. You want as many S8 attacks being done as possible, and with Pedro granting an extra attack, the extra attack with the Lightning Claws isn't entirely seen. So while Lightning Claws are fine for a challenge, Pedro and a bunch of Thunder Hammers are doing the real work.
Tactical Terminator shooting is garbage in the first place, and Pedro does nothing to enhance it. If they could take two Heavy Weapons, it would be better (and if the Stormbolter was better). Sternguard operate at the same range too.
Like I said with Honour Guard, they're basically the prime targets for anything AP2, and with the amount you can bring AP2 in, Pedro cannot tank enough shots. Honour Guard are a decent choice, but you need another character to tank shots.
Land Raiders are already junk as is, but the Redeemer is awful particularly because how hard it is to aim sponsons. If my opponent managed to bring a Redeemer close enough to me that they could aim the Flamestorm cannons at me, I'd be flabbergasted. At least the Crusader doesn't have a schizophrenic loadout. I'm not saying the Flamestorm is a terrible weapon, but it's on a terrible platform.
That's why I made the switch to Spartans and never looked back.
