What do you consider less than standard range? Burst Cannons and Meltas generally have a shorter range, but I'd think it's pushing it a little to count them.

Aw, but fish goats don't do close combat, we're too posh for that :(
Guardsmen prefer LDR as well. I've got nothing apart from more bloody commissars that fits it for 40K, and I'm not up for a third month of hatporn.
Will have to think, or give it a pass and hibernate in my squirrel nest of commissars. :p

I do have Daemonettes, but they're nsfw level of personal.

Well, I could always do this:
You should make a diorama with one of those types of tank Commissars that's in a more melee pose swatting away the claw of a Defiler or some giant beast.
I don't know which you're referencing. There's only really the FW commissars in production for tanks, and they're both just hands-on-hips.

hum

I dunno - does it have to be GW or do you generally allow for all minatures?

I do have a few reaper minis I've not got to, I could probably find something suitably infantry type in 'em.

Indeed! The more variety the better. Take a look through some old challenges and you'll see GW, Infinity, Malifaux, Warmahordes, Reaper, Batman, and even more!

The only 'limit' on what model you can enter is the theme (and I make an effort to be very flexible there, I'm not sure I've actually had to disallow an entry on those grounds since the challenge began) and the proof pic requirements, which you can find in the OP.

I'll do my Warboss with Attack Squig. I primed him, but do not yet have a picture of him primed, however, I do have this pic.

Spoiler:

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.
