Nice write up, less contentious comments than my last article for you though...

So, if we get over 28 players again, can we have a Sunday round 4 to count as a GT?

Serious:
I contributed to Allan's thread on list check ups for GTs ... but I had no intent that that suggestion be attributed to our little happy family.

My favorite comment so far in that thread came from the player who showed up with an army comprised of 50% blank bases wanting to play the brand new Tyranid codex. Without having the codex, or a list with the rules, because he already had it memorized. It had come out the week before

First post updated with the relevant info for the May event.

PLEASE NOTE: The tournament will be 1500 points. Also note, the three color minimum to win prize support is enforced You will still place, and be awarded ITC points but if your army doesn't meet the 3 color, plus finished bases, minimum you'll not receive prize support.

See you all in May... Hopefully... Maybe...

Choose a Standard Incendiary Comment ...

a. Make fun of OverWatchCNC for not being able to attend
b. Mock GW's FAQ
c. Mock GW's FAQ and whichever rule that'll be enforced that nerfs "Your Whole Army"
d. Mock Ian, Derek, Andy V. and other 'has beens'
e. ITC missions
f. Mock Tau for being under powered and then when you realize how good Trip-Tide and StormSurges are
g. Make fun of Casey with barley-pop flavored humor
h. Complain that 1500 points at 2:15 won't be enough time **
i. MikeFox + Orks =

"Eldar are OP" is already in the package, no need to choose it.

... to bump thread back to the forum top.

Just for the record, please don't lump me in with Derek.
How can he be a "has been" if he never was?
And now I've gone and chosen option d, how cliché

Just get the ITC to allow heavy retribution cadre and you may see my gray on gray with gray accent color scheme I haven't been working on painting

Considering how little traffic this thread is getting, I think it is hoot that 42 players showed up for June! Credit going to a great TO (thanks to Bahkara for pitching in), a great set of core players being cool to new comers and the best venue/store around.

I got to play Ben N. of the San Diego GE dudes. Nearly 30 jetikes between us, corresponding eldar psy phases, my 40 spider spam, and we still managed to finish 4 turns! Great game decided by one point. I also got to play Alan D of RQTF and that was another one point decision, great game!

I do have a question about something from my round 3. When a Sisters of Battle unit uses an Act of Faith, is that declared before dice are rolled or after? One per game, per unit?

For those peeps who are regulars, Darrel and I are think of coming in on Thursday night with some brown and gray paint to do some terrain maintenance. Anyone care to join in?

OverwatchCNC, I think you can use the edit button to also change the thread's title. Because, you know. July BAO practice.

Enough prattling for now, gotta get back to painting gems on spiders .

I think it speaks more to the decline in relevance of Forums like this one in the wider world of 40k and the internet.

Having updated the thread for the last 6 tournaments I know what the edit button does.

Just in case people actually check here for info still these days, I have the following PSA:

Hammer of Wrath was able to squeeze in a couple more tables at GE. As a result there are a few more spots, those however are now moving fast as the Bakersfield GT scheduled for the same weekend canceled due to low interest. As of last night there were only 10 spots left. Don't wait or it will pass you by!

Also remember, the FB event page is a better place for information on the event itself and for answers to your questions.
