Maybe the Retributor Frank was a mighty warrior of countless battles, and inspired his fellow Retributors to insane acts of daring and achievement. Everyone liked Frank. If someone fell in battle, Frank would always make it a point to welcome them back when they walked out of the Eternal Forges in the Celestial Realm and buy them a drink. But Frank was just spilt in tween by a Bloodthrister of Khorne's axe. The Retributors know Frank will be back, and it was a bit shocking how easily the towering daemon monstrosity took out Frank with one blow, so maybe they decided to pick up the pieces of Frank's armor and weapons and deliver them as an Honor Guard back to the Celestial Realms so they can be there when Frank comes back. And maybe they want to buy the first round in honor of Frank at the Light Horse.
