I have 5 pretty much finished, and then a few bits to finish up on another 5. Then I will green stuff all of them and be ready to paint. Still not sure of the scheme I am going for, and am open to suggestions! I am thinking natural greens and Browns, like they don't have the money for crazy colors like the questing Knights. I don't know how much to use the generals heraldry, maybe their shields, maybe all the heraldry (on the horses)? Would love any ideas.

Really wanted to paint tonight, and none of the bretonnians are quite ready to paint, they still need green stuff and finishing touches on the conversions. So I got a jump start on the dwarf portion of the army. This guy on the shields is too cool. Most of the dwarfs I have are old oop sculpts, I will post pictures as I work on them. Or maybe post some pics of all of the old models at some point.

Some progress on the dwarf lord. I am considering switching out his axe, either for a different axe head or maybe a big hammer. Any thoughts? I do love hammers. The axe on there has lost some detail from layers of paint I think.

Ok, I think the lord on top is finished, now I just need to pop him off, paint the shield, and finish up the base and guys holding the shield. They are close though. I think I am going to switch a hammer in for the sword in the angel heraldry on the shield.

New Knights are looking very swanky. Good work on the Dwarf Lord also.

Knights of the Realm should be just as colorful as Questing Knights, if I understand correctly, as they are the same rank. Knights-Errant on the other hand have not yet achieved the rank and status of nobility and so would do well to have "poorer" more tame color schemes. They don't particularly have to match, as the Knights-Errant are always trying to distinguish themselves from one another so as to win the favor of their Lady, but they definitely would not have the ostentatious heraldry of their superiors.

Thanks dr cheese! Bocatt thanks for the info! I wasn't sure how they ranked. I don't know if I am going to follow the exact lore for bretonnia though, since I am not sure how much will transfer over to aos. It may be a more generic order force using bretonnian rules and models. I am still undecided.

I have finished the lord on shieldbearers! After pics I noticed a few spots I need to touch up, I will prob hit them either tonight or tomorrow. For now here he is.

Making some progress on a couple of old school dwarfs. Going for very muted tones. Although I am not sure if I have enough blue on there
