My personal pick is either the orange or the green. The green matches nicely with the existing palette and as much as it pains me to say (and I'm truly trying not to be biased here) I feel the orange compliments the scheme nicer than the red.

Completely agree with the orange over the red.

Think I'm going green over orange for the simple fact that the pops out over the blue where as the green remains more understated allowing the blue to shine out which is the main colour. Will be putting green on the shoulder pads of the jet bikers, farseer, wraithguard, wraithknight etc. Will add it in parts to vehicles too.

Mind made up on to painting.

A fine choice indeed, it'll look great.

As a side note I finally spotted the first post that you edited with some of your original models. It's fascinating to see some ones beginnings into the hobby and ultimately where they stand in the present. Your first models look a lot better than my original attempt at painting, looking forward to where your new project leads.

Haha those weren't my first models I assure you, they were the pinnacle of my teenage years. Amazing what being an adult does to your understanding of techniques... Actually think it's more that accessibility of advice and tutorials.... We had no such help when we were young!!

Yeah that's very true. Couple that with the higher quality paints (IMO they're better now) and new things available such as washes and it all adds up to better end results.

Omg!!!

Can't believe my last post was in March... Shows what a new baby does to you hobby time!!!

The farseer went on the back burner so I'll have to pick that up again at a later date. Got a new army for my bday so my attention got a refocus. Fell in love with the new ad mech models the GW released so 1800 points of war convocation has come my way as a second army to my eldar. Will post pics of my current work in progress... An imperial knight!

Pics of the beginnings of the imperial knight. Found some very old models to build the base up and give it some weight!

Thanks really pleased with it and should look great when painted up. The gaps with no basing in with be cracked earth using gw technical paint (can't remember the name).

Forgot to mention that I magnetised the whole imperial knight so can swap out any weapon or face mask. Also knight magnetised at the waist for ease of transport plus can repose the knight easily.

On to the painting and thinking of coming up with my own scheme for the Knights house. Like the hawkshroud emblem best as it represents the space marine and Mechanicum but all the yellow won't match up with my skitarri so going to go red/cream (Mechanicum) with yellow and space wolf blue accents (hawkshroud plus imperium in the form of space wolves... My next army?!) any thoughts on this?

Plus on a side note a separate project I finished during my 4 month absence...

Those explosion markers look fantastic, great work. Can't wait to see the knight standing tall with his mechanicum brothers.
