Heldrakes are an easy answer. The only thing that will get a save is something with a TH/SS, simply relying on FNP won't cut it after that point.

Shoot two Baleflamers into there, and you should be able to charge something in there and possibly win the combat.

What on gods green earth are these monstrosities? I mean seriously, as if wolves needed a better, faster melee unit when they already had Thunderwolves. These guys can kick the gak out of thirsters and princes. What the hell!? Why can't we get a new melee unit.....I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be our speciality. It's clear GW hates us.

So......how do we deal with them? I've dealt with them by chucking. Multiple units at them in melee. But do I really have to throw a daemon prince AND a bloodthirster at them in the same assault?

Help me!!

What? Khorne is getting SO MUCH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE it isn't even funny!.... in age of sigmar

Gotta shoot them, or whoop on them with a walker and hope they don't have an axe or hammer in the unit.

Even with TH/SS, S8 anything is pretty efficient, because each failed save is 2 wounds gone. Krak missiles have a single good target in the game now.

Crisis suits would like a word.

Anyway, best answer to wulfen seems to drop S8 blasts on them from this thread.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Hell, a skull cannon might even do a decent number on them. 50% chance that a non TH/SS one will straight up die. No cover allowed!

No, because Soul Grinders exist.

There is a legends about the defilers being almost ok one day, and then they got a point increase for no apparent reason despite being pretty poor. and then the even more daemon soul grinders made them look even worse when they became everything the defiler tied to be, and then all the sudder imperial defilers showed up and made defilers look foolish yet again.

From a Former Chaos Player, Defilers were the gaks 4 editions ago...

Now as to the Wulfen. You guys mentioned throwing all this dedicated shooting from your melee centric lists. Heres the problem. You just killed 1-2 Units. What happens when the other 10 or so shoot the bejeezus out of you under that same hail of fire principle you just used with a abundance of higher AP weaponry. (Minus Flying Princes as those guys will just eat my list.) Because, while Space Wolves aren't the best at Marine Shooting, they still do it rather well and have plenty of Razorbacks to throw at problems. Or pods to drop in your face.

Wulfen/TWC are the options in a army that actually shoots well. And gets as many attacks as you do in melee, because Counter Attack is our Chapter Tactic.

I'd hate to be a non-shooting army trying to shoot Wulfen. It's kinda like Tau trying to make Kroot effective and their army melee centered.

What's a crisis suit? Those things the Tau used to use before the big stompy MCs?

SW shooting is not that good. Especially by 7th ed standards. You can pretty much ignore it with a good list.
