No, but in all honesty it was before I had seen Caddy Shack. My grandfather told my uncle and I (he was only a couple years older than me) to 'do something about those damned gopher destroying his crops'.
Did it work?

I think the dumbest stunt I ever did was probably jumping off the 3rd deck of my barracks onto a Palm tree and jumping down from it so that I wouldn't be late for a PT formation at 0530.

I wasn't late, and our Sgt that it was the coolest thing in the world....until the next week when a buddy of mine tried it and broke his arm.....the Death by power point safety stand down was....terrible. And they lumped suicide prevention and drinking and driving safety briefs into it. The suicide prevention one was the worst, at one point I started dialing the suicide hotline before I was told to knock that *stuff off

I walked through west Hollywood at night in the mid-90s (it was not a nice place).

My leather jacket got cut, though. I survived. My feet saved me.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Chute recovery team for a heavy drop mission. So there I was. Young...dumb....and invincible. Huge cargo chute half collapse just rolling back and forth. I grabbed the Apex of the chute and waited for the wind kicked up. rose about 200ft off the ground and rolled back down again. Everyone came running over thinking I fell from that height being I got caught in the riser lines. Once it became apparent what I did.......2 hrs of fun
