One of the Dwarf "Captains" from that set is actually probably a shield bearer. Did you get the Finecast Dwarf Command set? In that set, the one that is leaning forward behind his shield is the captain, and the one holding his axe aloft is the shieldbearer. Of course, there's no reason why you can't use them both as captains if you want, but I felt I should clarify.

You should definitely be set for a while, though!

I just saw that. Thank you. I'm definitely finding that owning the cheap heroes and at least one banner per side is quickly becoming the expensive part of the game. Somehow it never feels good paying for four models what I just paid for 24x warriors.

Started unboxing our goodies. I've never seen armies come together so instantly, and my wife and chief assembler of our house, clearly loves the one-piece, but still very nice plastics. Is the whole line like this? I noticed new boxes like "Grim Hammers" say they are 36 components to make 12 guys... I assume not.

All of the older plastics are 1-2 pieces (with the majority being one-piece). The exception to that are the cavalry models.

The newer plastics for the Hobbit were developed using CAD (I assume; could be wrong), and they got incredibly impressed with their own cleverness. You should check out the sprues for the Mirkwood Rangers. Insane the way they cut them up. However, for the most part, the newer ones are still quite easy to assemble, but still...

Well, the only "new" kits we got were on box of Grim-Hammers, and one box of Warriors of Erebor... so I don't suppose it'll be too big a deal. It was just uncharacteristically fun to buy models, come home, put them together essentially instantly, and start teaching the wife rules, in the span of an hour. :-p

Now I just need to track down some banners, and possibly more captains for Durin's folk, and Lothlorien Elves, and we should be very set for quite some time.
