Well I'm finally back home and it's time to finish those terminators so stay tuned for an update and some photos tomorrow! On a side note I did meet this big fella on my travels...he's more suited to water than space though!

Well it's good to be back painting and my terminators are slowly coming along! Nearly ready to start highlights on the armour, what do people think about keeping the helmets black?? Also squad names? I'm thinking Squad hammerhead, any suggestions??

I think the split white grey helms is what sells the Sharks so well. Maybe do a red stripe if you want them to be different?

Here's a list of shark species and a quick description of where they live worldwide. http://www.sharks-world.com/shark_species/ It might be better to name the Terminators as Tiger Sharks, the 2nd most dangerous shark to humans as that leaves the great white sharks for heroes or dreadnoughts (Though dreadnoughts could be whale sharks due to size ). Though great whites would work for the Terminators as well as they tend to attack from below and breach the wave much like a terminator teleport in and breaches the defenses.

At long last after what took a lot longer than it should have my Terminators are finished! I've posted a picture below for you guys to comment on and let me know what ye think! I know a few people were more in favor of white helms but I think they turned out well! My next unit will be a veterans squad and have already been bought, will start putting them together tomorrow night! Until next time,

I am happy to see a fellow Reaver of the Outer Darkness. Your marines came out great and I very much like the black helmets for the Termies. I have used Latin based shark names, but I also found that you can get direct translations from Google by typing in a word and asking it to translate to Maori, Tonga or any other South Pacific language. I mix the two systems up to help create my own codex titles.

Thanks guys! I feel like they look much more intimidating with black helmets! That said I think my veterans will sport white ones! That google translate idea is brilliant, I'll give that a go!

So I was just about to start building my vanguard veteran squad, I open up the box and discover that they only come with jump packs and do not include regular backpacks (mine will be mounted in a razorback).
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed to have hit this little speed bump!
So I'm off to buy some tactical marines to harvest their backpacks...and possibly geneseed!

Might be better off grabbing an assault squad. Iirc the kit comes with both JP and regular packs so you wouldn't be left with 5 marines with no packs

The problem is I don't plan to have any jump troops in my army! So either way a few marines will need to be wasted!

You could just ebay or swap shop a few backpacks. Shouldn't be hard if you aren't picky.

So I've sorted the backpack problem and thrown together my vanguard squad! All armed with power weapons they will be mounted in a razorback w/assault canon and accompanied by a space marine captain. Anyway here are a few shots, let me know what you think!

Just a quick update! I haven't started painting my latest squad yet but had plenty of spare parts lying around so I threw together a space marine captain. So with that drop of blood added to the water make sure to give me some C&C on him and let me know what ye would do to improve him!

I must admit I think the posing could be made more dynamic. Looks a bit awkward atm. Love the choice of parts you've used though - suitably blinged up, yet still brutal looking. Do you plan to run him in games? If so what are you counting the chainfist as?

Wow! I am not usually a big fan of non-chaos space marines but I absolutely love these! I think sharks are probably one of the coolest aquatic animals and definitely the most ferocious so space marines inspired by them/ modeled after them is very fitting.

The modeling so far on these guys is solid and the painting work is phenomenal, especially the guys with blood splatter on them. I hope you spatter more of your guys up like that as it looks awesome and goes well with the shark theme and ferocity of charcharagons and your company specifically.

Thanks for the comments guys! When I run him in games the chain fist will count as the teeth of Terra just because it suits the chapter down to the ground! As for the pose I imagine him staring down the enemy commander amidst the carnage he had created daring the enemy to step forward! "Are you not entertained?" Is certainly the perfect caption for this model!

So after what was probably too long a break I'm back working on my sharks! Tonight I made a lot of progress with my veteran squad and I hope to have a finished photo of them up tomorrow night
After these guys are finished I'll be starting on my next unit and let's just say it'll give me a break from painting power armour... so if you want to see what's been stalking the waters of my work bench stay tuned!

After a good few hours of painting today my Vets are finally finished! I didn't appreciate how much detail is packed into these minis until today...they took a lot longer than expected!
