If you really, really want to prove a point, there's always the option of the marauder destroyer. 12 hellstrike missiles and three twin-linked autocannons is pretty damn shooty.
8 hellstrikes, 3
TL AC, twin linked assault cannon turret and twin linked heavy bolter turret, + 6 s6
ap 4 bombs.
It weighs in excess of 5 kilos, and, sadly, isn't really worth it being armour 11.
Aw well that's a shame, its a really awesome model and looks like it could dish some serious damage, is it just because of the weight of the model that it isn't worth it? Just curious.
505 pts, the hell strikes alone are an optional + 80 points.
You can (could?) take 3 vendettas for that, and they're vastly *vastly* better at the same job, and have both a transport capacity and hover.

There's an attack pattern (a group of aircraft flying in formation, but not necessarily from the same squad/detachment) with 3 flyers that net you Tank Hunter; another with 4 flyers net you Tank Hunter AND Ignores Cover!
wow are those four separate units?
Yes - formation flyers that show up in the data sheet move shoot and assault (
lol?) as individual models, but you can roll for them all at once. You're taking an 'air superiority detachment' which gets a command benefit, and hover flyers get obsec.
Not clear as to how many kill points you get per flyer though, where appropriate.
