How much does this thing cost with a "normal" loadout? If it's more than 50 or 60 pts per hull point, I'd never use it. A single normal D weapon hit can take off 3 hps.

Base loadout is a little more expensive than that at 185 pts. It has 3 HP, but It does come with a 5++ base, though.

5250 pts
3850 pts
Deathwatch: 1500 pts
Imperial Knights: 375 pts
30K 2500 pts

anvilus autos + missiles + heavy bolters are his best loadout, the flamers instead of bolters can also work if you fight a lot of orks or tyranids since he can defend himself better from there chaffe/ork boyz

dont you dare talk smack about doritos dreadnaught hes the best ground to air weapon in the game period able to literally instagib any FMC in the game with a single volley, in fact if he rolls well he can not quite kill two flying hive tyrants a turn or overkill 1 by a good margin i challenge you to find a unit that walks on two legs that can do that. he has also some of the best light AT in the game able to inflict greivous wounds to leman russes or rhino chassis tanks with relative ease as his roof missiles always target side armour and his front missiles have armourbane.

even if you dont have air targets to smash from the sky like an absolute boss, he is such an effective anti ground weapon that it scarcely matters. left to his devices to just pull the trigger and pull the trigger he will do more then his fair share of killing important units like death company, other dreadnaughts, ground MC's, if i had the power to make them troops choices (and oh lord i wish i did). they would have replaced every unit in the DA codex as a viable troops selection because hes simply that damn good

All I've even seen these things do is die, sorry. The 5+++ clearly isn't cutting it. Sounds like it's well armed for 185, but the vehicle rules kill this thing.
