Hey EDC. Just realised that pic doesn't really show it off, but I used the hand and banner pole from the knights for the standard bearer. I'll post some better pics later

Make it something inspired by the us flag and by the nature of the world. Red and white stripes with something like a cavern over them, with three white stars inside? To represent their origin and the way they live now? Just an idea, of course

I think I like the red aand white with the eagle and stars but I wanted to include blue somewhere in there. I might end up going with the long blue idea

4 and 1 are my favorites too. Could you make the eagle in 4 blue?

Well, tank. I'm going to be using this as a Solar Auxilia Leman Russ Incinerator. I see the tesla cannon as an older, cruder, more powerful H.E.L weapon than the rifles and carbines they use now. This will not be the only such tank to grace this army.



I also uncovered a collection of the walkers I'm using as Psyphons so there will be a squadron of those too before long

I usually get to the point in a story where it's no fun just writing about the 'good guys', and so I have reached the point with the Ironclad. They're a highly advanced army; what are their foes like? As they have learned the ways of their enemy, has their enemy learned in turn? What miniatures do I already own that I can easily turn to this new purpose?

As it turns out, I have a fair amount of Orks, mostly from a WHFB army I never finished. There's a few 40K units in there as well, such as these boys (sorry, Boyz) Meganobs with Black Orc facemasks
They'll be painted in similar yellow schemes to the Ironclad, as the armour plating they wear is torn from wrecks and dead Ironclad. I'm going to keep the horde to just a single box of meganobs, representing the very best gear available being fitted to the warboss, big mek/ pigdok, etc. Other units will be a squad of warpig riders, slugga boyz, some small number of shoota boyz, and maybe a single trukk, The warboss will have a bodyguard of árdboys made from the Black Orcs with Nob weapons

Hope to get some paint onto more Ironclad this weekend, and will be basing the tank so it's the same height as a Russ, roughly

So it's been a while; been focused on study and my ever-expanding other armies for a while now. Loitering in Good Games in Sydney I found these base inserts and that drew me back to the Ironclad



With these, the Psyphon of Madeline Eckhart (possibly the only one this army will ever see; the base models are very hard to find) now fits the army a little better



Also, the wild-haired women from the Shield Maidens kits I bought recently for my wolves will be providing Madeline's hhead; the rest of her will be basic infantry. Going to sort that conversion out now while I'm thinking on it

So the FLGS just had a stocktake/ throwout and I scored these. Going to make 2 into Psyphons to make a full talon and build the last as it was designed

Working on Eckhart's Psyphon, going to try OSL on the gems and runes.
