Panda has been fantastic in the year we have been in contact with them about Darkness Sabotage. Yes we heard about the issues with time on the casting but not only were they honest about that they outlined how they have improved their capability and we are satisfied with what they have presented. We did add an extra 2 months for manufacturing over what they estimated though just in case. But it is hard to ignore Ludo, their reputation is stellar as far as our research goes. We have heard issues like, "Their minis are blobby" but I think it comes down to personal preference. We did decide to look into other options though so we are in the middle of that right now. Thanks so much for the feedback guys, if you know anything about Dethrone Games, you know we listen to you and implement. So any caster you reco I guarantee we will look into.
Thx,
Dez.

Can we get clearer close ups of the actual models? There's just too much on the board color wise that it's hard for me at least to see the details.

Sounds like they are likely going with Panda as the manufacturer of the miniatures

Someone has some explaining to do...

(Spoilered due to both the size of the photo which was found on Facebook, as well as the size of the figures)
Spoiler:

Are you selling us board game figures or statues? That boss is MASSIVE.

[Credit to Craig James Milne from the Miniature Boardgames Facebook group who took the photo and posted it for all to see]

I hope those bosses are 3-ups, they don't even fit on the board. They look cool though : ).

To get a real sense of the scale of the mega boss, here are some images with a tape measure:

Well I have backed. The models look fantastic, i love the over the top style of the heroes and the demons. It's also great to see a gaming company thats from Toronto.

Excited to see where this goes.

Please post some pictures that we can see the miniatures with. Those pics you have are a bit too small.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

The size of that boss it nuts you could knock someone out with that. Its not just a boardgame mini, its a plastic self defense weapon!

I want to back this.. I love Doom and this whole genre.. but I'm concerned about the logistics and production side.. I backed the Megacon Mercs Recon and the chinese production on that was nowhere near the quality of the figures coming out of CMoN as an example. Mercs I believe delt with both Ludo and Panda but I might be remembering the updates wrong. They also had to be visited by Megacon and have production techniques explained to them such as preheating the molds (or something like that) and the machines weren't adequate.
Bottom line.. that particular KS pointed out numerous flaws that can come from having this stuff produced by our new Chinese overlords. It's funny to me because someone earlier was throwing up flags about Prodos but at the very least the most recent things I've gotten from them were amazing in quality.. their reputation aside.

I would have to be thoroughly convinced this project was not only being handled by a company that is proven on production but also that distribution is being managed by people who know what the feth they are doing.

Outside of that.. best of luck mate

I'm backing for the full game, but any chance of a minis-only pledge? I know that's tough to do when it comes to boxed games, but still

Why is the link to the KS page not in the first post?

Bit annoying having to look through the thread trying to find it - might wanna fix that.

Other than that, it looks cool ...

That's a good question - thanks for pointing it out!

I've added it into the first post now!

Well a new add on was added to the campaign and (excuse the pun) it is a biggie. Also the next pirate was unlocked as the 130k SG.

Maybe it's just me, but every time I see "Aphelion," I can't help but think of Alpharius.

...and Mallax.

Happy to see this one steadily climbing, as it had a tough crawl there for a bit early on.

Very curious what will be on offer post extra player extension, as it's almost there, and just about to hit the 48 hour mark as well.

It's been a fun ride so far!

I think that add-on came way too late to have any impact. I think some potential of this KS was wasted, could have been managed slightly better.

Well, I'm in for a buck and will watch this unfold, sitting on the fence.
