Now obviously you won't be using Praetorians, so just remember that Death Company are still more durable to anything outside AP3 compared to Sanguine Guard.

Not to mention that Praetorians can hit pretty damn hard in melee. You're either slugging out S5 AP2 shots and then have AP2 in melee at two attacks, or have a S6 AP5 shot and three AP4 Rending attacks.
The only issue is that they aren't Wraiths, but even then you aren't too punished for using them.

If MC smash were AP3, I'd be a lot more likely to run SG. I have to be so selective with what I assault with them, they are too much of a liability on the battlefield. Comapre to DC: send them in mindlessly.
