Well I'm really sorry that happened to you. The FB guy is usually always a very positive responder.

As others had said, getting asked the same question a hundred times can be frustrating when you can't give the answer.

Same with his earlier time when everyone asked will they see this or that from AoS or GW and he couldn't say anything but along the lines of "we'll have to wait and see" or "maybe".

Even some comments were saying "Ever feel sorry for the AoS guy who has to keep answering with "who knows, maybe" 128 times a week?".

Hopefully your next time on the FB is more positive.

"Come into the store and find out" is an absurdly stupid response in the age of social media.

Funnily enough it's indirectly the reason I haven't bought any GW models in 6+ months. I used to buy the odd blister or cheaper box every month or two to enter the local GW painting comp, but I got pretty sick of having to go down there to pick up the crappy newsletter they have to find out what the theme and judging date was. It's a half an hour drive just to find out information that should be on facebook so I stopped bothering, which meant I stopped entering, and stopped buying models for it.
I actually didnt think any adult males had a facebook thing. Or stores. I will have to ask my wife to see if our GW has a web page.

I need to go to work every day.

They all do, when GW killed their official Facebook page the excuse was they wanted a more personal touch and for people to go thought their local stores Facebook pages.

Some are really good and engage with the community, some just post a picture of the latest preorder.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

It all really depends on how tech- and social- savvy the manager (or in the case of the one-man stores, man) is. My local GW is really good with their FB page and are constantly updating it with their in-store events as well using it to showcase work they and customers have done on their respective armies or terrain projects.

Well if your the one man running a store you're probably run ragged anyway and don't really feel like managing a face book page in your free time.
