If the guns have different names, they are different guns.

The fact that they use identical profiles for range, damage, AP, etc... is irrelevant.

You can't roll twin linked weapons and regular weapons together at the same time, without differentiating which dice represent which weapon being fired.

The point is "Twin Linked" is a description of the heavy phosphor blaster.

It has to be or the weapon simply does not exist(and therefore would not benefit from the -1 cover saves anyways as it cannot be fired at all since it doesn't exist).

If you want to treat a "twin linked X" as a differently named weapon as X, be my guest; as such a weapon(as opposed to the Twin Linked special rule's "described as") doesn't exist.

The only option to fire anysuch weapon is if it follows the twin linked definition.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

A Chapter Master wielding a Bolter (not that anyone would ever take this combo) in a squad of tactical marines still has to roll his bolter shots with everyone else. You can physically roll them at different times (or use different colored dice) but the game counts as them all firing at the same instance.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

You can and cannot get cover saves from their own weapons.
