Oh my goodness your right. I wonder what the stormsurge would look like. It's still not a fair fight since it's a heavy burst cannon which is an anti-infantry loadout. I would love to see the Tau get some melee weapons on suits. It's been a few decades come on guys where is it. Even if it has to be the FSE. Their commanders can take a cool sword option though.

After reading some of this, I want to do a kill team with a Knight, Riptide/Stormsurge and a Eldar Wraithknight and go Tyranid hunting.

I am curious why everyone says that the tau would misrepresent the jagers ability to punch things. As i recall, only 2 suits were ever good at punching kaiju to death, all the others died like grots before a warboss.

Ranged weapons were only used a grand total of 4 times, and I think only fired for about 10 times (when Gipsy "emptied the clip"). Two of the Jaegers that "died like grots" didn't even have any ranged weapons on-screen (Cherno Alpha has ranged weapons, but it never got to use them during the film and it's only described in supplementary material). Not to mention the two more iconic weapons (besides their fists of doom) were a Boat being used as a Baseball Bat (despite making every physicist cringe) and "The Sword".
