Hmmm, then I wish that was represented elsewhere, all the art seen outside the tome (Do not have) is essentially the bright orange sort.

Well yeah they follow Grimnir so of course the "Main" lodge is going to have orange hair and the standard slayer look. Still there are many lodges in the other the realms and they all look kinda different. The one's that have set up in ayzr after sigmar's opened his gates have dyed parts of their beards white along with marking themselves in the colors of stars

I know that, I just find that it makes them and the models unappealing, the fluff however I enjoy quite well.

'Murica! (again)

Even without the battletome , which of course is the best expected spit to see the variety, the RGW books have different colors, eve a painting guide. Check out the Fyreslayers Facebook group for some variety, or just look around.

Regardless, Slayers have a bit of problem, I do wish they had other color themes introduced..

D&D also had Conan, like the actual character Conan from the Howard books, also this...

If you (ZebioLizard2) read my entire post you would see that I included several sources of inspiration for GW which included Tolkien, I also stated that Tolkien has influenced all of Fantasy, I assume that you would agree that D&D should be included as a part of 'all of Fantasy'. Sadly I forgot to include Moorcock in my list, Moorcock arguably had a more significant impact on the foundation on GW than Tolkien.

Tolkien did not invent the term Hobbit, but he did invent what we think of when we think of Hobbits today. Hobbits sits right next to Hobgoblins in the Denham Tracts (old folklore stuff), Hob = small, bit = ?.

For more check out the Elder Edda, old Viking stuff Thorin Eikinskaldi and Gandalfr go on an adventure with a party of Dwarves (without a Hobbit though).

So where should the credit of inspiration go?

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
