England getting the blame is lunacy on the level that our USG blamed Benghazi on a youtube video.

Seriously, what would England have to gain to assassinate a RUSSIAN ambassador in Turkey... of all place...

Hey. I said my piece on it and remained true to my opinions.

As to the OP: German officials has warned that more is coming (seen on CNN)??? Is this 'it can happen again, be careful!', or is it based on actionable intelligence?

If England killed a Russian Ambassador the culprit, a suave naval officer no doubt, would be shagging the Ambassadors insanely beautify aide on a yacht in the Med sea by now.

Also the gunman didn't escape either on skis or a rocket pack and end up deploying a parachute with the Union Flag on it. So clearly not us.

Exalting that for the James Bond reference. That said i don't think it's james bond so much as one of his arch nemesis.

Still say this assassination is unreasonable. Why not kill a military leader or politician having to do with what the assassin yammered on about.

Then again this is like World War 1 where some assassins killed the heir to austro-hungarian throne because....why (i think i got that right)? You'd think they'd have kidnapped the prince and his woman at least and maybe threatened the current leader using the heir as a sort of ransom. Killing a king's heir just invites your anus to a load of military grade pain. So much that sitting down may never be possible again.

Have you really never heard of this extremely left biased tabloid or the author of the article Mr Kuntsman?

This is a guy who claims he got PTSD from firing a gun I have seen 10 year old's do fine with.

At least he got a name that describes him accurately.

I'm sure they have. They are basically a leftist Breitbart, a bunch of ideologically blinded donkey-caves.

Well, knowing what Russian action usually entails isn't hard. (hint: it includes lots of explosions)

Russia isn't going to be taking any actions over this though. This was an individual action, and the individual responsible has already been killed. Russia is not going to blame Turkey or anyone else for it.

Also, I actually got to meet Karlov last year. He seemed a very friendly (and fat) guy. It is a shame that a good man became victim of this.

As far as the evidence goes that is available now it doesn't seem to be in any way involved with the U.S., but as Frazz said with the bombing of Aleppo.

You can bet some of the Russian media and plenty of people are blaming those evil Yanks though. The CIA gets blamed for pretty much everything that goes wrong.

Exactly. Just to assume that most bombings of civilians happen accidentally, which seems like a big if, more bombings won't make Assad win the war any faster unless Russian ground troops get involved. Which makes no sense as Iranian and Syrian troops are doing a good enough job already winning the war. Any action taken would be for show and why would you sacrifice lives just for show.
Its tragic for the man himself, he was in no position to actively influence the campaign in Syria.

Possibly, but in this case they seem completely innocent.

Well there are a lot of angry groups in Turkey. Turkish nationalists, Russian Caucasian separatists, Syrian rebel groups, IS and Kurds. They all have there reasons for planning attacks, the attack on the US embassy might be related to nationalist anger over the US not wanting to deport Gülen who Erdogan accuses of orchestrating last summer's 'coup'. It seems convenient that this happens often, but we should't forget how many groups there are in Turkey with retribution on their minds. In any case shooting the Russian ambassador over Aleppo seems unlikely to be related to the US, as the US was trying to help the rebels in Syria and Aleppo.

Interesno...

It looks like the Turks (read: Erdogan) keep blaming Gülen for everything. What motive could Gülen possibly have for assassinating a Russian ambassador? Gülen seems to be a rather peaceful guy. Why would he be assassinating anyone?
To me, this really brings to mind the relationship between Trotsky and Stalin, where Gülen is Trotsky and Erdogan is Stalin (complete with purges and everything).

Gulen has been highly critical of the current course of Turkey as a state (he feels Turkey is too aggressive with Greece and the Kurds, that violent Islamists have too much power and support, and that Erdogan is making these things worse). Calling him Trotsky is to Erdogan's Stalin is probably an accurate analogy, at least in so far that Erdogan represents everything Gulen dislikes and Gulen is a constant thorn in Erdogan's side and a convenient scapegoat/justification to "purge."

Gülen seems to be a rather peaceful guy. Why would he be assassinating anyone?

There's no evidence he's involved in anything violent (in fact he's one of the most prominent supporters of Sufism in Islam today, and opposes Wahabbism's more extreme tendencies). Turkey has created a terrorist organization called the Gulen Terrorist Organization, but it's basically just a hit list of Erdogan's political enemies and made up evidence to link those people to acts of violence. Today Gulen lives in my own Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Saylorsburg to be specific), pretty much because he can't go home to Turkey. He'd be arrested and in all likelihood killed.

I actually wish he'd be a bit more vocal here. While Turkey and its future seems his primary concern, we could use someone like him as a voice for Muslims in the US.
