Pots are a thing of the past. Dropper bottle are just superior.

I disagree, to be honest. Dropper bottles clog, and they're really wasteful for washes (the one thing that I dislike about the Army Painter inks).

And I haven't had any issues with the paint drying out in the current GW pots. The previous pots, certainly, but the current pots are much better.

You can hardly call that a clog. A needle and 3 seconds is all you need to open the nozzle. I had a few pots dried on me in less than a year.
It's not just you and me. You can read stories about citadel paints all over the internet. Paint in dropper bottle will last way more than in a citadel pot
because a lot less air gets in. I bought some Vallejo bottles which look really old, but the paint is like new.

Also you waste more paint using a pot. Just look Duncan (warhammer tv) how much paint he wastes because you need a brush to take the paint out.
With a dropper you can control how much paint you put on a palette, one drop, two drops. Even mixing paints is easier cause you know the exact ratios
every time. I can go on...

Not sure - I stopped buying GW paints with the name change. That was just one range change too many...
You should give the current range of bases a try, as much as I dislike GW paints I can't argue with the good results of the base paints. They don't cover quite as well as the old Foundation paints, but they're more vibrant which makes them more useful to me.

Mephiston Red, Averland Sunset and Rakarth Flesh probably get the most use from me but I have a few of the others which I like as well.

Maybe some people are more unlucky than me, but I soooo rarely have clogs. I own probably about 100 paints in dropper bottles and the only clogs I've had were 3 Reaper paints (which were clogged when I bought them and were a real bitch to clear properly because basically the whole lid was just a chunk of dried paint) and 1 Vallejo paint (which was one I use frequently, it was almost finished and there was just some paint clagged up around the lid, didn't even need to use a pin to clear it, just used a tissue to yank off the dried paint and it was fine).

As for wasteful for washes, it doesn't have to be wasteful, as long as your palette is clean it's pretty easy to remove less than 1 drop of wash if you only want less than one drop. A couple of times when I only wanted a 1 brush load of wash I literally just carefully squeezed the wash straight from the bottle to the brush.

Realistically the only washes I go through a lot of are brown and black and when I use them I typically need more than 1 drop anyway So I just leave the dropper open while I paint and squeeze drops on to my palette as I need them.

If you mix washes and inks like I sometimes do, you'll end up wasting them, but that'll be the case regardless of whether they're in a dropper or not.

I've had *less* of the current paints dry out than the old ones, but still too many for my liking, especially when GW charges $6AUD for a pot. Even though I haven't had as many dry out, I have still had some of them go claggy and get chunks of dried paint, you can add medium to bring them back to life, but they never behave quite the same after that.
