For Alpha Legion the whole mysterious undercover stuff is just awesome to me. Raven Guard and White Scars would be the speed and uniqueness of styles. White Scars with the pigtails and white armor and RG with the wings basically haha

Why not play Shattered Legions and run all of them?

If you go that route, always have the Alpha Legion HQ be the Warlord, otherwise there is no point in taking Alpha Legion.

As for tips I always feel that you should should have a real connection with your Legion. I find 30K is more about fun and fluff so go wild in picking what you really want. Another thing to consider is painting. I love WS in both 30K and 40K but I can't white so I passed on them.
