You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

so I think I put in about 10 votes again this month, let's see...JamesY, n1ceguypaul, Keezus, Bottle, Manalishi, Moolet, DanceOfSlaanesh, Modock, Melcavuk, albinoork....there's a lot of people that probably should've gotten more votes, probably a few more I should've voted for too, in hindsight...but man, the pictures make such a difference, especially in a theme like this, where we're all painting space marines...38 space marine entries, you've really gotta stand out!...still, great work again everyone! ...and thanks to everyone who voted/commented on mine

...and since we seem to be discussing our photo setups...mine was really just a fluke, I'm just using the camera on my LG G5 phone, it's got some pretty ideal settings, I know nothing about them, but I got it to work ...it has a close-up setting, and manual focus, so you can get right in close and tune it in all super-crisp...then there's an "ISO" slider too...which seems to effect how much light it absorbs? dunno....but I just stick my model under my magnifier desk lamp, which is a ~6" ring of real bright LED's...I lower that really close to the model, so it's suuuper bright, then turn the ISO slider on my phone camera all the way down, tune the focus in, and it captures all the detail, really well lit - but not too overexposed...pretty happy with how my pics turned out honestly - not bad for a phone camera and a desklamp and some settings-fiddling anyway

...it's good to be green!

My setup is really cheap and simple. Just a pair of reading lamps, some white sheets of paper taped to the wall and table, and a $60 Polaroid iE826 camera. It is good enough to get me 4 votes, although after looking two of those votes were people who voted for everyone. My painting is rather lackluster as well, though, but it is a far cry from where I was when these challenges started, so I'm satisfied.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

I see this challenge is getting bigger and bigger. Huge amount of entries this round. Even though there are mostly space marines is great
to see so much diversity in paint jobs.
It was impossible for me to vote for only 5 entrants.

Here are my votes:

Zobo: Very precise and crisp paint job. I like the green shade for the armor a lot. Well done.

JamesY: A charactful and dinamic marine. Nice work on the axe.

Keezus: This is a really good entry. Great blends mate especially on the sword and feet. Maybe (not ) you could add some saturated colors
to break all greys and blues. Also nice glow effects. This really deserves more votes. Probably did not cause it's not a marine.

Paradigm: Great atmosphere and overall tone on the mini. Suits perfectly. IMO your best since the terminator you did in october.

feltmonkey: Nice clean paint job. I like the red armor and the cloak goes well with it. The staff head is also accurately painted.

Chris56: Interesting diorama. Those converted marines look really good.

Bottle: I can't believe those pictures are taken with an iphone. Mindblown... Your regular high quality paint job, It's like looking on games workshop
web page. The face of Drenn is really impressive. It Looks alive. Bravo!!

Moolet: A visually stunning predator. You did a great job on the weathering. Also good touch on the flamethrower with it's burned nozzle.

albinoork: A bold color scheme I give you that , I like it. Nice blends on the mini particularly on the wings.

Special thanks to Bottle, Guildenstern, feltmonkey, Chris56 for taking the time to comment on my entry and to everybody who voted for me.
Bye till next time.
