I've seen it yesterday, I liked it a lot. The first one was certainly better, IMHO a masterpiece, but the sequel is still a very good one.

Considering how the americans were portrayed in the movie maybe this sequel is not going to gross as much as the first one in the USA But presidents are not particularly loved these days and who cares about Kentucky? So it may be appreciated in the USA as well.

About the James Bond comparison, this is basically a parodistic comedy. It can be compared with some old bond movies, the Roger Moore ones maybe, since the latest episodes with Daniel Craig are too serious and boring. Kingsman is the new real James Bond franchise.

I just saw Kingsman 2 on Sunday, after finally seeing the first one just 2 days prior on DVD. Both movies are a lot of fun! Perhaps a bit heavy with the gratuitous F-bombs, but oh well.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Saw it on Friday and the group I went with really enjoyed - as did the rest of the audience from their reactions.

Otherwise agree with all Blackie said - Bond films are so dire these days - if you want to watch a bond film need to watch Mission Impossible

Lots to love about the sequel. In a lot of ways its a better thought out film beginning to end, it just doesn't have the impact of the original. That's in part because of the surprise factor but also because they don't play up the Statesman to the full extent the way the original did with the Kingsman. Minor quibble though, as there are a lot of things I think were overall better in the sequel. Definitely worth a see.
