As a space vampire, I am going to be in some ways disappointed if Sanguinius does not come back some how.

As I recall the BA apothecaries exsanguinated him after his death (and now carry his blood through their own veins?). You know what they say about space vampires? They are only a little spill of a little space blood in the wrong space time and place from returning.

If he doesn't stay dead (which I would prefer, even if it would be disappointing), I'd rather he returns due to some vampire shenanigans than Eldar witchery.

I'd be disappointed if he DID come back, it not only invalidates his sacrifice IMO but it would also never live up to his lore anyways. He was allowed to be the Mary Sue of the primarchs in the lore because he was dead and his described perfection had no effect on the game or the "current" timeline of the universe.

I say just adjust the Sanguinor's rules/lore to be an actual avatar of Sanguinius and leave it at that.

With a Galaxy split..

I kinda want Sagnius back for a kind of balance.. having at least 1 Primarch on each side of the divide..

But yes would require some very good writing to bring him back

I'd proably tie it to the sanguinor and mephistion, basicly have the two of them fighting side by side against the Tyranids, outside the very shrine of Saguinis, they're fighting harder then the ever have before, a despirate but losing fight. to save the body of their primarch, as Mephistion is calling on the warp like never before it is roiling, suddenly there is a flash of energy that wipes out the tyranids around the shrine, and the Sanguinor is gone. Mephisition stands alone against a second wave of Tyranids... then suddenly behind him is a winged shadow...

a sanguinis return could be intreasting for a few reasons.

1: he'd be cut off in the dark imperium and likely the soul ray of hope behind the lines. the blood angels would not be able to be everywhere, but they'd sure as hell try. so you'd see them racing around trying to eistablish little islands of stability etc.
2: it'd be an even greater man out of time story then gulliman, he never saw how the heresy ended. chances are one of the first things he'd say is "where is my father?"
3: how would he react to someone telling him of the black rage?

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I totally agree with this. It disappoints me greatly that 40k seems to be following the Marvel route, where nobody stays dead that could potentially make them money.

Sanguinius' tragic martyrdom served an important role in the story, which will be completely invalidated should he be ressurected. Likewise, the brotherly betrayal of Ferrus Manus. Curze sucidially coming to terms with himself. The sacrifice required to finally destroy Horus. All these beats in the story are important due to their permanence. Reverse them, and you remove all meaning they had. Those 4 must stay dead.

Dorn and Alpharius/Omegon are the only Primarchs you can ressurect without cheapening the backstory. Because all three deaths were both ambiguous, and served no real critical function in story. They were essentially just action scenes.

The 6 missing/sleeping Primarchs are fine to return, as again, their leaving didn't really serve a lasting story purpose other that The Lion's, but as his story is essentially carries shades of King Arthur's, the whole point of him sleeping is to return when needed.

Dead shot made a pretty good list but like most people is a book out of date when it comes to Vulkan, his body was returned to Nocturne were it was sacrificed into the giant volcano called Mount Deathfire. Nothing happened until Artellus Numeon (esentially the leader of his personal guard) climbed to the top of the volcano and disappeared as it erupted. After all this transpired Vulkan was found at the top of the volcano both alive and well.

I am to new to everything to contribute much here (though I have been diving hard into the lore.) All I know is Russ is alive and well and brewing his brew in the warp. (ok this is from funny cannon, but lets be real its true.)
