The biggest issue with narrative is each player bringing the correct armies. You need to find specific players with specific armys who can play at specific numbers of models or points values to get narrative going to recreate battles from the fluff. It sounds neat. But that mostly means Space Marines are needed to play a narrative game.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

No, it doesn't. Narrative just includes missions with attackers and defenders with special ways to spend command points.

The campaign books will have those specific missions, but narrative games just have a built in storyline.

I'll be playing matched mostly. I'll play narrative occasionally too, depending on the full rules for it. Ideally, I'd have matched play with a full campaign mode to play with a group.

'Straya... Mate.

I would say the poll results have turned out exactly as I expected, except didn't expect anyone to be sticking with 7th. Eldar/Tau players I guess?

I chose Matched, can still have narrative battles, it's just more even... Well hypothetically

Actually narrative is the one where you can get closest to the theoretical perfect balance. Matched has to make compromises. Narrative you have everything in control.

Mostly matched, but I'll also probably play some narrative games once in a while.

And still play some 7th during a transition period.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.
