A veteran hobby army generally would contain a ton of models and lot of conversion, being very far from "right out of the box", and often that is displayed in Imperial Guard armies as people love to convert up new and different vehicles and regiments.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?

Sisters and Dark Eldar, but only through virtue of rarity.

Though we might see more of both, since both are quite good now.

I wouldn't take army to be an indicator of veterancy or select an army to appear as a long time player. A finely painted, large, and well played Space Marine army says more to that end.

In short, I don't think veteran hobbyists pick an army to demonstrate their veterancy, they pick an army that they like and their veterancy naturally shows itself, and since there is as much variety in hobbyists as there are armies, any army could be a veteran hobbyist's army.
