I don't think wishlisting Celestine nerfs is the question at hand.
I'd be curious to hear more about the chosen solutions for handling her simply because I want to include her and will need to know what to look out for

Should i go on? or do you understand the difference in friendly play and WAAC play?
Edit: Why bring her? B.c the game is about fun and i enjoy the models, i play for fun, she is fun, her model is fun. I'm sorry if you cant understand winning isnt everything, i'd rather have a very fun game.
I understand friendly play and WAAC just fine. Playing a game to win is not necessarily WAAC, playing your units like the village idiot does not necessarily make the game friendly. I certainly wouldn't find it fun to play against an opponent that brought units to the game that they felt they had to handicap just to be fair to their opponent.
As far as fixing Celestine, I think the entire issue is the Geminae themselves. Make them a seperate HQ choice (0-2) for SoB and make Healing Tears a 2+ chance for a Geminae to come back in the same manner that Celestine currently does. Celestine ceases to be a super unit and the SoB get back their JP Canoness. Automatically Appended Next Post: Lemondish wrote:I don't think wishlisting Celestine nerfs is the question at hand.

Kill everything else first. Then focus her down while your opponent only has one scoring unit on unit on the table and you spread out on all the objectives. If she assaults you, retreat during your turn and shoot her with everything else.

What's the damage on her ardent blade? just 1 wound? If so, then rushing her with a vehicle helps to at least tie her up in combat for one turn, and if she falls back, then she loses her next turn. Even though her Ardent blade is str 7, I don't think it does so well against vehicles.
So, charge her with a Rhino and tie her up in combat. I agree that she is probably undercosted, and she is an absolute nuisance to fight on the battlefield.

The only unit I feel is truly undercosted is RG. If you can tie up 250 points with a single Rhino, then that isn't undercosted in any way. Sounds like she's super easy to shut down.

Her weapon is -3 2D and she gets 6 attacks, but she has Fly and AoF, she can swing 2x in melee, or just AoF move out and move again to somewhere you cant tie her down, but yes a vehicle can tie her up easily as long as it can get to her and isnt at low wounds.

She has 6A at S7 and 2 damage. If she doesn't kill your rhino in your turn, she will most likely do so when she pops an AoF at the start of hers to fight before her turn starts. She is then fine to move, burn and kill some other unit. I have had this tried against my Celestine at least five seperate times and it has only ever forced me to use the AoF to kill the transport at the start of my turn.
Though I dont want her to get nerfed for Sisters just because Sisters aren't allowed to have nice things. Nerf her when used with any other Imperial force and I don't care.
