I think we will call this the LVO meta, which replaced the boots on ground meta. Custodes didn't really add much to the meta, they are a decent soup ingredient but hardly earthshaking so we are in pretty much the same place. Of the three Codexes coming up, I think dark eldar will be the one with the possibility to shift the meta, since they will add more stuff to the yanarri. Still I think the current meta will last until the march faq, and then we will begin the "spring" meta.

Constantly being negative doesn't make you seem erudite, it just makes you look like a curmudgeon.

It just feels so weird now that a grot can theoretically take out a land raider.

There was a lot of moaning and doom and gloom about that when the rules first came out, but in practice, I'm not seeing it. I have to really focus fire to bring down the heavier tanks.

But we are seeing SB, HB,, Plasma Spam instead of Lascannons and other high cost guns like Melta's. Point for Point up to T7 (not T8+), SB's do more damage than Melta guns, so there is a bit of that.

This. In my experience land raiders either die to lascannons, close combat monsters or not at all.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Lances can do it, too. Tyranid mortal wound spam. Smite spam. But yeah, lascannons are the worst culprit.

"Lascannon" can be replaced by any large gun whose primary role is to punch holes through heavy armor plates.

In addition "Close combat monster" can be also be smaller fighters with magic swords or flying red people with hammers.
