Addendum: I've discovered (while trying to make foam for my Vertus jetbikes) that white glue sticks chunks of leftover pluck foam together reasonably well if you want to try making a custom tray arrangement.

The Crystal Fortress stuff looks interesting. Anyone tried them yet?

I've got Heroscape minis in some, and its pretty cool. You magnetize the minis in precut holes, and then its a carry case, and a display case. I'm not a fan of how loose the case top/bottom bits are, but the minis are stuck in so well, its more of a visual problem than a safety issue.

It doesn't matter if you're not dominating the game; if you have 3-4 x as many models and options than the rest of us and you're still getting new kits, we're still gonna rip on the faction. If I had 100 + Drukhari kits all in plastic to choose from, or 100 + Sisters kits, I think I'd be more likely to be receptive to Space Marine player's complaints about anything.

The game doesn't need super space marines, it needs more variety.
I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

All those fancy carrying options out there are great and all but I've always found them to be expensive and restrictive.

You know what's cheap and effective?

Boxes, bubble wrap and plastic totes.
The boxes for vehicles/Start Collecting box sets work great for fitting all but the largest models, as well. Just pack your dudes in snug with some bubble wrap and you're good to go.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

I like the Battlefoam bags - they contain pockets and slots for everything from dice to cards to rulebooks. I recently swapped all my foam out for a Magnarack kit and love it. A bunch of cheap rare earth magnets and now I no longer worry about the foam damaging minis when the bag falls over or getting pointy miniatures stuck in foam walls. Add in the fact I can hold almost double the minis (since I don't need space for foam walls) and it's quickly become my favorite.

When not transporting minis, I just plunk them on a baking tray my wife wasn't using.

I use a Battlefoam P.A.C.K. 720 case, as it's big enough to transport a fair amount of minis. For large and/or awkward models (like my Bloodthirster, Mortarion, Knight, Stormsurge, etc.) I carefully line a shoe box with bubble wrap and gently place the model inside. It's hard to find a foam tray to fit those kind of models, so I do the next best thing, and I have yet to break one or damage the paint.

You may have already seen this, but Battlefoam have released a custom tray that fits Moratarion perfectly and slots into a 720 case nicely (also holds a bunch of Bloat Drones)

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

I use battlefoam. They also have some cheaper cardboard boxes that fit their foam trays.
