I could have sworn they had a show like this in the early 2010's. It had two seasons on YTV and was completely forgettable. It was identical; it was filmed the same way, the premise was the same and even the digital world looked the same. I'll have to see if I can find it.

I had the exact same vague memory of this show! Somehow the producers of this garbage must have crossed wires (or not cared at all) and basically rebooted this instead, slapped the reboot label and called it a day.

Either way, I hope this show crashes and dies into nothingness.

The shows premise is pretty simple - 3D digital world that kids enter to save the world from the evils of a hacker/company/alien/headmaster - all the while whilst also attending school without their secret being uncovered.

It's pretty standard, so it wouldn't surprise me if a few similar themes were covered along the way. Heck it will likely mirror things like Power Ranges and Beetle Borgs only with a 3D world as the setting rather than nameless cities (seriously how many cities were crushed in Power Rangers without military intervention!?"

Also, the plot reminds me of Digimon the movie / Summer Wars. I mean, interaction between digital and real world, with the villain on the verge of causing WWIII? That sounds like Digimon.

The plot is literally Code Lyoko.

I regret watching this.
