IKEA is really a mixed bag. I haven't regret my IKEA sofa, that I got a couple of years ago, but it also happened to be their second most expensive model. IKEA also make sturdy, cheap, solid pine book cases.

I also have a lot of experience with cheap, wonky particleboard garbage. You might get lucky with IKEA, and with some of their expensive items, you might get more for your money than at another furniture dealer.

To be honest a very good quality solid wood dining table can set you back quite a bit. For example:

The 6'x3' version costs £950/$1,352

Looking at there website, the stuff looks like pretty decent quality. I would assume with taking on the GW account they would likely open up international shipping? Perhaps even with a bit of a distro based on the UK/EU to lower what I can only imagine would be some hefty shipping costs. Looks like these guys have been at gencon...anyone actually checked them out in person? The only thing im not a fan of is the lip around the table

I've also been wanting a nice 6x4 that doubles as a dining room table. They are difficult to find. I've been wanting something like the geek chic ones for awhile, but the 5k - 10k price tag was a bit too much for me. These seem like exactly what i'd want, and the price is about what I'd expect for a decent table. Hopefully I can check one out in person at some point.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
