23, I'm not surprised by the wide range of ages.

Pretty standard curve - I'm curious to see if the bell continues moving to the right overtime - i.e. in 30 years will Dakka have a big blob of hobbyists in the 60-70 bracket.

I'm 36 now, but would have been 23 when I started posting here.

This. I'm at the top end of 30-40, rather than the bottom end of 40-50...

I am 31, the average age of those at the game store playing 40k is 25-35, but we have a fair spread of outliers. A solid group of c. 20 up and coming, with a few gents in the 40+ range.

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love

The distribution would be easier to see with equal sized categories...

I apologise for that, not sure what my thought process was when I made the columns, I think I expected there to be more youngsters.
Still though, if you read it carefully you can still tell.

We shouldn't be particularly surprised the average age is increasing. What <25yr old could afford to pay such ridiculous prices? Heck, you'd need to re-mortgage just to buy the new fish-elf water-blanket HQ

Thousand Sons: 3850pts / Space Marines Deathwatch 5000pts / Dark Eldar Webway Corsairs 2000pts / Scrapheap Challenged Orks 1500pts / Black Death 1500pts

Saga: (Vikings, Normans, Anglo Danes, Irish, Scots, Late Romans, Huns and Anglo Saxons), Lion Rampant, Ronin: (Bushi x2, Sohei), Frostgrave: (Enchanter, Thaumaturge, Illusionist)

48 in a month. Most of the players at the FLGS are 20-30.

Been involved with 40K since about a month after it was released, so - since I was 17?

It never ends well

I would say biggest range is 20 to 40

To many unpainted models to count.
