The original metal aspect warriors, warlocks, and farseer are some of the best sculpts GW has done period. Perfect translation of the excellent concept art to actual miniatures. Their main limitation is they tend toward poses that fit in the plans of the molds vs more 3 dimensional poses of modern miniatures.

Never liked the general look of Craftworlds, imo if you put a bunch of militarized Kardashians in space for millions of years, not only would they look vastly different from each other, but also look sleek and cool. Where did all the antler stuff god? They need to resemble some egyptian theme like beetles etc.

GW please do something about it, it's on high time!

1) GW doesn't read these forums so I highly doubt they are either going to read your comment or do anything about it. They have a Facebook page now which they do in fact read.

2) Craftworlders look a bit daft because the model range hasn't been properly updated in what, a decade? Even longer? Most of the Aspects have crummy finecast builds that are basically copies of what was originally metal models in the first place. Their quality is terrible, their detail is terrible, their cusotmization is terrible, and the CW Eldar army will look ludicrously better than before whenever the Aspects receive a bloody update.

Whilst not hobbled to inane dogma like the IoM the Eldar culture is some what ritualistic and somewhat stuck between memories of pre-fall glory and their current dying race status, so an element of 'the way it must be done' results in a stifled aesthetic

I've had all the 2nd edition stuff and have found memories but I'd rather have more realistic models like we have now, I mean 40k in the 90's was like playing the game on acid.

"Realistic" he says.

This is a game with ninja elfs with guns that shoot shuriken, fungus people, a totalitarian regime that believes in MIGHT is RIGHT, zombie machine skeletons from beyond space-time, killer clowns from another dimension and he wants "realistic"?

REALITY today is like being on a bus driven by a guy on a meth fuelled bender who has a crybaby rant whenever he doesn't get his way.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
