What we're saying is you don't need or even want to buy any of that stuff. The point of IG as Knight support is to spend as few points as possible to get the CP Knights need to run and provide the bodies and volume of low quality shooting Knights lack. Literally all you need is 30 bog standard infantry with zero upgrades and 2 guys to use as your commander/HQs. The idea is to spend as little on them as possible so you have more to put into those knights.

Ok, I am confused. I did not start to play a long time ago, but low quality shoting is the only thing knights have. All their shoting weapons are bad, and the melee weapons aren't that much better. All they have are a ton of low strengh shoting with no ap.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

From the rest of your post I assume you Infantry Squads instead of Knights there.

IG Infantry squads are not for killing stuff. They are for two things:

1) Fulfilling requirements in a Battalion cheaply to get a bunch of CP
2) Being very cheap wounds that get in the way of the enemies plans. So called 'chaff'. You use them to take up board space to stop deep striking units getting to your valuable units, to stick on objectives, and to be generally more effort to remove than the opponent really wants to spend on them.

Cheres guys thanks for the advice!

I built this guy up as a prototype to my "Knight Infantry". I've got 30 more like him built and waiting for paint, and I think I'm gonna run them as bare bones Guardsmen to act as area denial, objective campers and and as a CP battery.

Spoiler:

Thank for the help!

The only problem with that plan is that they are far too cool to be just a guardsman.

Haha yes, I know they look quite a bit snazzier than regular grunts, but scions are too pricey for a Knight Army. They can be elite bodyguard off the table I suppose.
