We will get plastic Sisters.

We will get a Sister codex that ISN'T just a .pdf of a 3-page White Dwarf article.

Sisters will get a Codex for this edition and the next edition WON'T drop six weeks later.

Jury is still out on that last one! It will be nearly two years in to 8e when it comes out, which is danger zone historically for the end of an edition.

Of course a lot of people expected 8e to be different and stick around for longer, with the way they're patching the rules. But I think AoS 2.0 puts all that up in the air again. Personally I expect 9e next year, but expect it to be essentially a republishing of 8e with all errata and a few other tweaks, leaving existing Codexes valid until they're updated.

And still I'm the only person who mentioned the Pancake edition of 40k... Do people not know their Dakka history anymore?

THIS is the single most outlandish rumour that the OP was asking for, not all these "something something broken clocks" stuff that has been posted. We'll get an SoB codex soon. No gak Sherlock- just because it's not happened yet doesn't make it outlandish and untrue.

Pancake was in a whole league of its own. It was a supposed leak of the 6th ed 40k rules (the password to access the file was "pancake". Hence the name) that completely rewrote the rules from scratch like we got with 8th. It was touted as real for quite a while until it was revealed to be a hoax when GW's own offering of 6th ed. appeared. Much to the disappointment of the community as the actual 6th ed rules were inferior to the Pancake ed.

Damn I forgot about pancake edition. Didnt it allow you to consolidate into combat again? I would have loved that.

Instead we got Forging a Narrative edition with challenges, OW, and removing models from the front.
