And here they are already with aura abilities... T'au were already a pain to deal with, now they'll just sit there all day long shooting your team if the missions allows it. I already dislike these Commanders. It will just encourage playing tight packs of dudes like in 8th and I can't love 8th anymore. On the other side, that means outmanoeuvering your opponent might be easier if all his models are close together. Well wait & see I guess, but I'm not sold.

Can anyone confirm that using commanders is meant to be played at 150 points? That's an easy way to limit a commander showing up at a normal KT game. most of them are averaging 40 to 50 points. If I only have 100 to play with, I'm not dumping half my points into one guy.

If the Commanders from Rogue Trader are anything to go by, I can confirm that. It says that the mission must specify a Commander can be used and, if so, both players must agree to do so. When Commanders are agreed upon, the game is played at 150pts.
