Expose him to Red Sonja, Alien 1 and other assorted films from the 80s with strong female leads (yes yes RS is a bit corny by modern standards). If that fails well then there's probably no helping him and he should be purged of the chaos taint within him with the the most holy of fires!

If it fails you can try a few other action movies like Kill Bill, or the absolutely magnificent jewel of cinema that is Female Convict Scorpion: Jailhouse 41.
If that still isn't enough, show him A gun for Jennifer. And then show him that this isn't just fiction (relevant extracts at 12:20 and at 17:35. Beware, discussion of rape and images of rapists that were literally burned alive).

Religious fanatics who like to burn things - what's not to like?

Same reason I played Menoth (specifically Feora) in WARMACHINE :-)

Two lines, three vastly different emotional journeys.

He's only 10 years old! Thanks for the suggestions though.

I don't play Sisters (waiting for plastic ones), but I've always absolutely loved the look of the Exorcist. It's by far my favorite Rhino variant.

For me it was the over all themes as others have expressed but also the realization of how common they are in the setting. Almost every Imperium world would have at least a squad or two of them. They are far more common than Astartes and I really wish they got the support to show that.

Totally awesome model. Only in 40k would they dream up something like this!

And yet we get sisters players who hate it and swear by the forge world version which is nothing but a whirlwind...ugh...must resist... urge to salt...

After my first army, I choose armies based on playing styles that I want to experience.
Orks, I can go horde or mek walkers (Deffdreads, Kanz, and 'Nauts)
Blood Angels I have Death Company and scouts.
I'm building the Sisters to be a MSU Tank army, and I expect to always have at least 5 Immolators and 2 Exorcists on the board.

The Faith of those sister players is not strong enough.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I have several - its lovely

I AM A MARINE PLAYER

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

For me it's mainly the aesthetic. They are really the last Gothic element left in 40k. Black Templars hung on there for a little while, but have faded and are now basically just another marine army. Dark Angels are the next closest thing left to a Gothic army, but they have lost a ton of flavor in their look over the last few editions too. All that is left is Sisters.
The religion, spires, and just overly decorative look used to be a pretty big 40k element, look at the old Imperial Battlefleet Gothic stuff. Imperial ships look like cathedrals in space. The injection of Primaris has made the core of imperial armies too futuristic looking for me, so Sisters are the only Imperials I collect, well some assassins too. IMO they have the most flavor.

Here's hoping the new Sisters designs keep going in the direction they seem to be (still waiting on the vehicle looks) and it carries over to the rules .

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool...
