The problem with this is that Elmers (PVA) glue is hydroscopic - In humid weather it can go milky due to absorbing water from the air. And over time it will slowly go yellow.
In that case disregard I just remember trying it a few times and it worked pretry well. I sold off the junk I tried it on so really only saw the end result for a few weeks after
