To be honest, I'd not rule out seeing Apex add a deathmatch mode or the like at some point down the line. Once they've got a few more Legends added, I can totally see them adding an Overwatch-esque hero team shooter mode to proceedings. Give each character a set loadout, cut up chunks of the map as a handful of arenas, job's a good'un.
I definitely think they have more in mind for these characters than just being a throwaway roster for the Battle Royale. Aside from being a great game on its own, something Apex has the potential to do is be a great way to open up the Titanfall setting and build some interest in more than just the stompy robots before TF3 eventually comes around. Throwing in some more traditional games modes as they expand the roster would be a neat way to bridge the gap between Apex and the existing Titanfall experience.
They also apparently have [i]something]/i] with the Titanfall name on it to release before the end of the year, but no word yet as to what that is.
There's a new gun rolling out tomorrow, the Havoc. Can't remember if that featured in TF2 or if it's a new one like the Peacekeeper, but it looks to be another LMG alongside the Spitfire and Devotion.

Yeah by team deathmatch I was thinking more like Overwatch ... however, if they went that route, it would still need to be different enough to not just be considered an overwatch reskin.
I also really miss the titans. I get why they're not there, but still would be cool .. how about 3-man teams of only titans. No ejecting and running around, just big mechs beating each other to scrap?

Fiiinally got that win! And even without being carried by a team way better than I was, which is usually how I'd come close previously.
Managed to get a Spitfire with all the necessary mods to make it a beast. 3x HCOG scope, high-tier stock for very low recoil, extended mag to keep plugging away rather than having to back out and reload. Combined with a new love for Pathfinder's zipline as a redeploy mechanic (I didn't realise just how long a range that thing had!) and a solid, cooperative team (one regular partner and a rando who performed incredibly well), it was a close run thing but all three of us were standing at the end.
Went on to get a 2nd place in the next game with the same team, so I don't think it was even a fluke!

I think my favorite is Flatline. I love being able to heal and call in supply drops. I kinda wish they didn't make you have to unlock those 2 guys though :(

I ended up going back to Apex after discussing doing some lets plays on it (shameless link in my sig) with my friend.
I must admit that it has grown on me now. Been playing as Bloodhound mainly and managed to get in the top two a couple of times. Still not got a win though

Man pretty cheesed at all these leavers.
my team gets knocked out, im by myself and frag 1 and half teams solo and i see both players disconnected :/ get total 8 kills before getting zerged. could of been an easy win

I think that might be because getting banners is one of the few areas cooperation isn't as common; when there's only a 50/50 shot that someone's coming for you, you can't deny there's a temptation just to quit out and load into another round.
It's why if I'm coming for someone's banner I try and make that as clear as I can. You can ping their Death Box to say that you're on your way, and given that they'll be spectating you if they're waiting, it should be fairly easy for them to see you going for it.
On the other hand, though, there's also the fact that late in the game, respawns are kind of pointless. When you're in the last 20 or so, someone you bring back isn't going to have much of a chance to get the gear they'll need to be holding their own against purple armour, kitted out snipers/shotguns ect. Going back for someone is a tactical choice, and a good chunk of the time, it's not that worthwhile (especially if it means getting in danger yourself, thus finishing your squad and getting a lower placing for everyone. But again, I try and make this clear if this is my plan, so people don't sit around waiting if there's no way I can get to them safely.

Well yeah thats pretty normal stuff. but the situation that bothered me wasnt that. it was a hot drop into 2 teams, that went south pretty quickly i get why they would leave but it was all of 5 seconds after their deaths that i wiped the other teams :/
they didnt bother waiting for the death screen to leave.

I get that. But I have also been rezzed twice in one game and been basically carried to a win before. Getting killed in Apex is not a game over and I think that is why I like it so much. In other games it was die and start a new game. In Apex it is die, watch an intense rescue operation, then try not to die again.
Big improvement for Battle Royale's as a whole, imo

Oh man that reminds me, one of my earlier games we had a crew that had a mirage, two of us died and mirage was alive in the middle of a 3 team scrim. he frickin bamboozles them all, sneaks our banners out without getting caught and we full stack again to top 3
was some amazing moves.

I played gibraltar, made it to final circle with 4 teams left running toward a tiny building in the center that my team was cowering in.
Both teammates get downed trying to fire out the windows.
I drop my ult, and bubble right on top of the building and manage to pickup my teammates just as the few enemies left after my barrage stumble in half dead into the building, giving us the win as we finish them off.

I don't really like this games art style, stylized or whatever you wanna call it. Same thing with overwatch didn't like that one either. I like shooters with some vehicle gameplay so i'll probably stick with BFV for now.

I've been going for the LMGs and shotguns lately myself. Using Bloodhoud's ultimate, you can pretty much strafe and saw people in half. Pulled another win yesterday doing just that

Besides the beak, i usually try to have a shotgun as a secondary as well. not sure what i like more though. peacekeeper or the eva. i think i do better with the peacekeeper as the the eva has a figure 8 spread making it harder to hit more pellets than the star pattern keeper.
the primary i dunno im having luck with the wingman, but also enjoying the prowler whenever i get the select fire.

I wiped a whole team with 2 mags from an eva (drop the first guy and pin the other two, reload and repeat), but the peacekeeper is better if you only have one target you are trying to remove one or two guys at close range.

The EVA is also great for those of us who can't aim for toffee, due to the larger mag/higher rate of fire. I love the feel of the Peacekeeper and if this were Titanfall 2 (about the only shooter where I'm genuinely quite good) I'd probably be using it all the time.
In Apex, though, where you've got to play a bit more carefully and chew through more hit points before scoring a kill, I tend to go for the EVA as with that you can afford to miss a couple of shots and still bring someone down. Miss a couple with a Peacekeeker and you're probably looking at a reload before a kill, and thus more vulnerable to counterattack.
On shotguns, though, I do wonder why the Mozambique is so unreservedly crap. All the other pistols have something going for them (really high rate of fire on the P2020, basically no recoil on the RE45, the Wingman is a genuinely decent short/mid-range sidearm even against well-armoured enemies) but the Mozmabique has terrible damage, a tiny clip, awful range and isn't even particularly accurate... I'm hoping it gets buffed just a little the next time balance is tweaked.

Mozambique is a meme gun, the devs dont want to change it any time soon.
they also dont want to change the wingman for some reason even though it is pretty much the best gun in the game.

I'm having a blast in this game but dear lord could they fix their servers and the crashes ? Roughly 30% of my games are interrupted by crashes, sometimes near the end, usually in the beginning when I find cool stuff. And today's been full of lag and "Out of sync with server" disconnects.
They're working on the hitboxes for Gibraltar, Caustic and Pathfinder as they are too big for the moment and less played because of this. I believe they should just give more base HP to bulkier Legends, seems like a faster and easier fix.

They are trying to be careful because they are pushing hitbox type fixes during the battle pass.
hopefully they keep working on the crash issues. had a few crashes at final two squads. sooo fething frustrating.

I haven't had any of the crash issues. One of the guys I play with crashes regularly and it is pretty annoying. I have had the molasses server issues where I cannot sprint. Also, do not let a death box fall on you(I don't know how it happened) because you absolutely cannot move with one on top of you. Found that out the hard way when I popped a guy and his box got a little too squirrely in the air and landed on me.
Also, they just need to trim down their character models/hitboxes. Pathfinder doesn't need to be as big as he is and could use with a shaving. Same for Gibraltar and his 3000 lbs of fething bomb squad gear he is lugging in to a fight. Caustic is just a big boi

Thing is, yeah, Gibraltar is padded like a Michelin dude but still has 100 hp, feels a little useless. Let's give him 30 hp more and now we're talking about a tanky character.
Gameplay-wise there's some balancing to do about the Legends' abilities. I mean Lifeline can:
- Heal faster;
- Reanimate with a small shield;
- Heal drone;
- Pop a care package full of defensive gear
Meanwhile Pathfinder can:
- Grapple;
- Create a zipline;
- Scan survey beacons
I mean there's a reason you see streamers playing only with Wraith and Lifeline mostly, it's because of the small hitboxes and their abilities which are way more useful. Lifeline with gold backpack can heal 75% faster and this is a bit much I believe.
Meanwhile Bloodhound's scan is visible by enemies and she screams when ulting, so much for the patient tracker. Or Caustic's ridiculously situational traps, the ult is fine though but you better be in a building for it and I'm never camping in a building with Caustic strangely.

Caustic is practically made for holding the Bunker in the center of the map. You can also do some damage by baiting other squads into a running gunfight through any of the small towns. One of my friends did this while I was playing Bloodhound and could see everyone just fine, it was a bloodbath.
I agree that Pathfinder needs some love, and Gibraltar needs some more HP.

The wingman is only good in a really OP in a decent players hands. 90% of people trying to do crazy stuff with them, seem to get taken out really quickly. I’ll always pass one up for an Eva, or prowler, but that’s just me. I can only hit well at a distance, like with a g7 or longbow. If enemies get to close, I need more of a ‘spray & pray’ type gun.
