As opposed to what? Doing nothing? Is that fair? R12" RF D3 S4 AP- auto-hit ignores cover is my suggestion for fixing flamers. On the topic of Burna Boyz they already only fire D3 shots (I'd keep those as Assault D3 instead of RF D3). 15 Deep Striking Burna Boyz inflict 0 hits, 30 Deep Striking Shoota Boyz inflict 24 hits. I am merely suggesting the Burna Boyz inflict 30 hits, nothing too spicy, just enough to tickle the tongue and make you wonder if maybe you should replace some of your shooty tooty lads with some of the more pricy spicy boyz. Ahhh the wonders of playing a faction without flamers, something I bet we share? Or do you actually use flamers in your games?

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of variety once in a blue moon, a few flamers to warm my cold heart. With CSM Terminators things look really cold, 4 shots with a combi-bolter is 2,67 hits compared to the 0 of a flamer, I just want 2 hits, not even as many hits as you would get from a combi-bolter, although even 3,5 hits would be perfectly fair with a slight pts increase in my estimation, especially since combi-bolters can be buffed by a re-roll 1s aura, bringing them to 3,11 hits per combi-bolter. How about plasma, how does 1,33 plasma hits compare to 3,5 flamer hits? Very goodly kind sir, they are a bit weaker against single wound models, but still leagues better against TEQ and Vehicles. You probably will not have to rip your plasma or your melta off any of Your Dudes as long as flamers receive even a modest cost increase, but perhaps we can save someone from having to rip flamers off his, to instead put plasma on them? A kind bit of consideration for the whee fool who dares to think that flamers look cool on his Terminators, it could be announced around Christmas no-less, Timmy is going to have a jolly Christmas if he hasn't ripped the flamers off his Terminators by then!

Now im thinking of blast weapons as X shots, auto hitting up to squad size. So flamer vs 5man squad is 6 shots, 5 autohit and 1 roll. Maybe too much buff and not addressing overwatch though.

This could work, still keeps some utility in shooting at single models. I'd like a flat 4+ to hit (unmodifiable) for them though, as a gout of flame is a gout of flame, and I imagine orks are as good at hitting things with it as space marines. They've probably had more practice!
