Giving more even sudo mortal wound spam into the edition is not good for the game, smite spam hiding behind nugle screens is probably one of the least fun lists to face in 8th after the unhitable flyer spam.
The only defence against
MW or sudo
MW spam is just mass guardsmen which will be a very boring meta of 400 guardsmen vrs invisible alitoc
In fairness, I haven't got any vested interest in this - I've not used nor played against Grav. I was just offering an alternative to the
OP's suggestion.
