Landraider spam Marines. Just a bunch of big plastic boxes, very solid not much that will snap off etc.

my vote will go to the normal marines (non primaris). I don't have any but I everytime look at them if a friend unpacks them i'm jealous. The foam transport trays are just build on their size, and they have almost no parts sticking out of the base. They look so monopose compact that someone must have thought about transport issues when designing them in the past.
Because my orks don't fit trays without cutting them, my best results are with shoe boxes and the paper that comes in them. I lay them on the paper with a little space in between, and layer the paper over the models, so a second, thirth and fourth layer can go over the model. than before closing the box i put some toilet paper in, so there's a little pressure on my boyz and they don't slide an inch. I allmost never have anything broken that way. in foam trays, more orks come appart IMO.

Dakka is the ork word for shooting, but the ork concept of shooting is saturation fire. Just as there is no such thing as a "miss" in a target-rich environment, there is no such thing as a "dodge" in a bullet rich one

I'm going to have to go with Space Marines. Not only are they easy to fit into GW's cases, but making a custom case for them really isn't difficult. I'm sure some will look at this video in shock and horror letting models touch each other. But, I think this would do a great job for SM. Strangely enough, I've tried using Foam Board in the past... my word, I am terrible at cutting that stuff. I used a metal ruler as a straight edge for my X-Acto Knife... and wow, were the results horrible. I couldn't cut a straight line to save my life. I'm not really sure why. Since then, I've actually been afraid to even touch the stuff again for fear that it'll turn out the same. But, for those willing to take the chance or already can... this is not a bad option at all.
