It matters not how we define 'god'. It matters how the lore does.

The Chaos, Aeldari and Ork gods are all depicted as being able to significantly and materially alter extremely remote environs AND maintain artificial realms as domiciles. No ifs or buts, they do.

The 'Emperor' is never, ever depicted as being able to do so, nor is he capable of conjuring a 'realm'. He, at best, can significantly and materially alter local environs. Otherwise, his greatness exists only in the stories of his followers, in Imperial propaganda.

The Chaos, Aeldari and Ork gods are Gods. The Emperor is not a god; he's just a Psyker and a convenient figurehead.

All 'crimes' should be treasured if they bring you pleasure somehow.

I'm of the opinion that the "power" the Emperor received from the chaos gods was the power to A) create warp spirits, and B) bund these spirits into physical form. These two gifts were the only things he lacked the ability to do in order to create the primarchs.
So are the Primarch basically daemons made physical? Does that mean Sangunius and Ferrus are still alive in the warp somewhere, in their daemonic form?

It seems to be something along those lines. The clearest indication we have of this is the short story "Shadows of the Past". In this story a bunch of Word Bearers are trying to build a Chaos shrine on a recently conquered world but something keeps attacking them and picking them off messily one by one. Thinking it is a daemon, they summon Lorgar (now ascended to daemonhood) to banish the menace.

Instead, the "monster" turns out to be Corax who has entered the eye to hunt his renegade brothers. Corax has developed several new powers since the Heresy including the ability to merge with shadows and transform into a murder of crows. Corax claims that being this close to the warp has revealed his true nature. This certainly supports the idea that the Primarchs are essentially "bottled warp juice".

Corax then proceeds to prove his point by curb-stomping Lorgar until he flees through a warp portal and seals it up behind him. This seems to be the Word Bearer's secret shame. Their Primarch hasn't spent 9000 years in seclusion learning the glory of Chaos, he has been hiding from Corax.

This does mean that something of the dead Primarchs might yet survive in the Warp. Ferrus is in deed briefly reincarnated as a fiery spectre in "Master of Mankind" by the Emperor. Only Horus is confirmed as completely dead as the Emperor totally annihilated his soul in the warp to prevent the Chaos powers resurrecting him.

Emperor is not a god. Just stupidly powerful human but because his favourite gold color and powers imperium thinks otherwise.

In the eyes of a believer, ALL other gods are false gods.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
