I don't think it was reversed, the shotguns are still good for the first round if I grav chut otherwise just wait a turn and deploy normally.

Shotguns are still only ok first round -- consider their 4s attacks only happen at range 6 or less, and you can not get closer than 9 inches from out the valkry. Since they don't benefit from frfsrf, the best you can say is your unit will fire 2 s3 attacks per shotgun at ranges 9 to 12 turn 1.

Umm carcus shot from the shotguns is still 30 wounds on average to any non vehicle (wgen supported by Yarrik) and that is at any range.
