Well, this is actually a pretty nasty list.
Nine vibro cannons can thin out the enemy rather quickly.
Tough enough? Lots of high tough models and the remaining models either characters or mounted. Yes, indeed.

I prefer scorpions for that job, better saves and also -1 to hit if you give them the right exarch trait. All for 45pts and you get an extra wound. The only downside is that they're not troops so that can be a deal breaker for some.

Fair points regarding Scorpions over Rangers. They may fit better in my lists as I rarely ever build a battalion.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
